If you get an F7, F11, or F13 error code when reinstalling the main control board or variable frequency drive (VFD) in your Dexter washer, you may need to perform a SOFT RESET:
- Turn the power OFF to the washer for at least 1 minute.
- Check that all harnesses are properly connected to the VFD and main control board.
- Check that the VFD horsepower is proper for the size of washer.
- Hold down the grey (or yellow) program button on the back side of the washing machine’s main control board.
- While still pressing the program button, turn the power ON to the machine.
- Wait until the control board displays “SET,” then release the program button.
- Factory default pricing should display.
Occasionally this process has to be repeated up to 3 times for the main control board and VFD to start communicating properly.
